Mining and Metallurgy

Complete your projects on time and on budget

Since our founding in 1997, we have carried out hundreds of mining and metallurgy projects worldwide. We have served a large customer base, from start-ups to global leaders.

Seneca is involved from the laboratory to the final step of site deployment. We provide good technical leadership and manage EPCM projects from start to finish. We apply our proven methods (the 5S plan) to projects—a project charter including a steering committee composed of all decision-makers, and the Seneca process package to ensure projects run smoothly.

Technological mapping and adaptability

In mining and metallurgy, every site comes with its own unique features. Our strength lies in our ability to take advantage of site-specific opportunities and harness the technologies available to carry out your project.

Our great flexibility and technical expertise foster the commercial success of your operations. We plan the use of technologies according to the social, environmental and energy constraints of your geographical area. The result is a smart and efficient process strategy.

Managing technological and construction risks

We recognize your concern about market instability and that are in a hurry to run your mining facilities. Count on Seneca to complete your project according to your planned schedule. Our expertise in process design and project management will help you get the most out of your reality and your investment.

Environment and community

Managing and carrying out mining and metallurgy materials processing projects while respecting the environment and the communities in which they are located are just some of your challenges.

Our experience helps us make use of constraints related to your operations, raw materials, final product, or geographic location, and transform them into competitive advantages. To do so, we value local communities and encourage them to take on responsibilities with respect to construction, transportation, waste treatment and operations, among other things.

Our services: an overview /

INNOVATION TO MANUFACTURING IN FIVE SEAMLESS STEPS

1) Research and discover

Our engineers develop technical and economic models to validate different manufacturing scenarios.

INNOVATION TO MANUFACTURING IN FIVE SEAMLESS STEPS

2) Define the design

Our team develops prototypes and pilot programs to validate the design and the performance criteria for laboratory testing.

INNOVATION TO MANUFACTURING IN FIVE SEAMLESS STEPS

3) Laboratory testing

Laboratory testing is the first phase of process design. All critical elements identified in the previous step are resolved by our experts and all tests are documented.

4) Build a pilot- or semi-pilot plant

This new phase aims at testing the continuous process while optimizing it for manufacturing. Here, the process is developed entirely by our engineers.

5) Switch to commercial mode

The risks associated with marketing will have been lowered considerably by virtue of the rigorously documented completion of the previous steps. Our team will continue managing your project until your plant has been built or your operations site has been developed.
